I am very fond of painting animals especially heavy horses - I think it was because as a child I remember standing in a dark stable - a tiny person - amazed by a huge horse which was used to pull implements over the cricket pitch.
I can be found for hours on end at agricultural shows with my camera trying to get that perfect shot to paint from.

I also love painting sheep who live in shaggy straw with the light playing on their furry textures. I also have a fascination for bulls and cows and the way they are inquisitive and gently sniff you when you stop to talk to them in gateways.
